Responsibilities of the Role
In this capacity, you will undertake a range of responsibilities including:
- Playing an integral role in shaping the pod strategy, entailing the formulation of pivotal metrics. Concurrently, you will oversee trends in performance and, as dictated by these trends, drive appropriate interventions.
- Forging strong collaborations with business and product units to comprehensively comprehend the business challenges and subsequently transform them into well-constructed analytical problem statements.
- Taking charge of the entire insight generation phase, involving rigorous and exhaustive analyses aimed at delivering impartial responses to the designated problem statements. The insights and conclusions drawn will be heavily influenced by your skillful presentation of evidence, supported by data-backed hypotheses.
- Transcending the role of a mere “Data specialist” by actively contributing personal insights on enhancing the critical metrics for the pod. We greatly value individuals who adopt a mindset akin to that of a business owner, and subsequently resort to data to substantiate or debunk their ideas.
- Serving as the subject matter expert on analytics and visualization for the team, ensuring the design and construction of dashboards are user-friendly for the pod’s consumption of requisite data.
Prerequisites for Application
To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 0.6 to 3 years of pertinent analytics experience.
- Proficiency in complex problem solving and analytical skills.
- An inherent interest in business matters coupled with a desire to comprehend product operations.
- Proficiency in crafting intricate SQL queries to manipulate and amalgamate diverse data sources for the purposes of analysis and dashboard creation.
- A natural aptitude for working with extensive datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel as well as visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and QlikView.
- Familiarity with data-analysis languages such as R and Python, alongside a solid grounding in core statistical concepts.
- While experience in constructing machine learning models is advantageous, it is not obligatory.
- The ability to effectively articulate thoughts and concepts, both verbally and in written form. Candidates who can elaborate on the narrative behind their analyses will have a distinct advantage.
