Job Description

Amazon’s Global Catalog Operations team is seeking highly motivated and talented candidates to engage in the auditing and correction of data within our retail catalog. The ideal candidate should showcase strong analytical and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. Furthermore, proficiency in both written and spoken French is essential.

Key job responsibilities

This position requires on-site work at Amazon’s corporate office. Adhere to predetermined processes, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to execute audit tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. Primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Demonstrating the ability to make logical decisions when conducting audit tasks, even when the provided information is ambiguous.
  • Reporting audit results and communicating them within the organization.
  • Approving or disapproving audit entries based on predefined guidelines and providing a clear rationale for each decision.
  • Utilizing authoritative sources to validate catalog data when necessary, including browsing the site and using the search function to locate products.
  • Reviewing the Amazon catalog for content quality according to established guidelines and SOPs.
  • Thoroughly verifying product details to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyzing data to identify new trends and patterns.
  • Identifying common patterns during browsing and auditing to be translated into guidelines and SOPs, thereby enhancing overall audit outcomes.
  • Providing feedback to streamline existing processes and help the team consistently achieve high-quality results.
  • Collaborating with project teams to create and test new SOPs for fresh audit and data quality management tasks.

A day in the life In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the candidate should:

  • Be adaptable to meet business needs and work with high-priority English content for other marketplaces, such as the US, UK, and IN.
  • Engage in short text translation activities on an as-needed basis, although the role does not involve regular core translation.
  • Have no extensive spoken or written communication in French on a routine basis.
  • Be capable of independently communicating in both written and spoken English with stakeholders and clients, as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Mandatory:

  • A degree in any field.
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in French from a reputable university.
  • A diploma in French in addition to a degree in any field.
  • DELF B1 or higher in French for both freshers and those with work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0 to 24 months of experience in online retail operations or related fields.
  • Proficiency in both French and American English.
  • Demonstrated language proficiency in verbal, written, reading, and comprehension skills.
  • Strong familiarity with basic computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
  • A solid background in web search methods and various information retrieval techniques.
  • Strong data analysis skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with the online retail (e-commerce) and Internet search industries.
  • Willingness to work with sensitive subjects, including but not limited to:
  • Adult content
  • Religious and philosophically sensitive topics
