Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Operate within a dynamic work environment as a software developer within an Agile (Scrum) development team.
- Translate business requirements into user-friendly software solutions.
- Take ownership of work items spanning User Stories and efficiently guide them to completion throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Engage in technical design conversations and participate actively in the implementation of solutions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of solutions in progress, identifying and addressing concerns related to quality, performance, or architecture.
- Document technical challenges encountered during the implementation of user stories, configuration changes, and deployment issues, sharing findings with the team.
- Contribute as needed to Production Support activities for the project.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow software developers, regardless of geographical location.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech or B.E) in Computer Science or related engineering fields, or a Master’s degree (M.S.) in Computer Science.
- 0-2 years of experience in software development with Java.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented development principles and proficiency in Java.
- Familiarity with challenges in concurrent programming, including multi-threading, race conditions, and deadlocks.
- Proficiency in multithreading and asynchronous methods of code execution.
- Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and familiarity with frameworks like React or Angular.
- Experience with RESTful APIs; familiarity with Django is advantageous.
- Knowledge or experience with Python is a bonus.
- Proficiency with source control management tools like Git and TFS.
- Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) or Jira.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies or domains as required by the project.
- Demonstrated high energy, proactive approach, and approachable demeanor, coupled with a passion for solving diverse problems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all members of the development team, cross-functional teams, and product teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
