Role Summary
The Associate QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring high product quality by implementing effective manual and automated testing methodologies, adhering to best practices in quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual test cases for new features and enhancements, followed by their automation.
- Ensure comprehensive testing coverage across applications.
- Collaborate with QA leads, developers, business analysts, and QA analysts to address software-related issues.
- Analyze application logs to determine the root cause of reported issues.
- Perform both manual and automated test executions, documenting outcomes accordingly.
- Keep test repositories and practices updated in line with industry advancements.
- Identify potential test scenarios and enhance automation coverage to boost efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong knowledge of functional testing concepts and methodologies.
- Proficiency in reviewing test results using database tools; basic to intermediate SQL skills are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Agile-Scrum processes.
- Knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar is desirable.
- Experience with Git for version control.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- A proactive, high-energy individual with strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail and an approachable demeanor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of engineering.
