Job Description
Responsibilities involve creating and implementing test strategies to ensure product quality, verifying proper functionality and performance of the application.
Collaborating closely with the development team to design and deliver key product features, taking complete ownership by automating end-to-end processes of assigned features.
Tasks include automating the Test Plan, Test Harness, Execution, Regression testing, and Defect management.
Proficiency in contemporary test methodologies across the software development life cycle is required, along with a proven track record as an individual contributor in an Agile team environment.
Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality product releases on schedule through risk analysis, defect containment practices, test automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
They should excel in customer advocacy, designing and testing from the customer viewpoint to ensure a positive product experience.
Providing technical expertise to projects, enhancing the team’s overall technical knowledge, and ensuring the overall quality of the product are essential responsibilities.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals such as Data Structures and Algorithms.
Experience in automating Desktop products for Windows and Mac platforms is necessary.
Familiarity with test design techniques and automation, along with a process-oriented approach, attention to detail, and effective follow-through are crucial.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills are required. Proficiency in coding languages like C, C++, JavaScript, or Python is advantageous.
Hands-on experience with Automation frameworks like Junit, Nunit, Selenium, Robotium, or any in-house automation/scripting tools is desirable.
