Job Description
The individual in this role will be responsible for managing moderate to complex customer inquiries, including policy and billing-related questions from both internal and external clients. The role requires delivering prompt, accurate, and professional service, resolving customer concerns, documenting requests, and making updates to policy information. Customer interactions may occur via inbound and outbound phone calls, written communication, and other support channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain accurate records within relevant databases.
- Review and summarize documents, recording key details in the claims system.
- Maintain thorough documentation in claim files, including notes, assessments, and rationale for decisions.
- Communicate with third-party carriers to discuss liability, subrogation outcomes, and negotiate payment adjustments.
- Track and follow up on subrogation recoveries, ensuring timely receipt of payments from third parties.
- Use available tools to gather details regarding damage related to reported losses.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by embracing technology and tools to boost efficiency and contribute to organizational goals.
- Address customer documentation requests, explain related materials clearly, and follow up on required customer actions or updates.
- Maintain a sound understanding of insurance policies, procedures, and associated workflows.
- Accurately process policy changes and identify potential opportunities for cross-selling when applicable.
- Ask relevant questions and listen actively to understand and resolve customer issues, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Effectively resolve common and complex customer inquiries and problems.
