Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

The role entails a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods (such as forming, stamping, machining, and heat treatment), machine tools, cutting tools, fluids, instrumentation, as well as data acquisition and control systems. Proficient knowledge of surface finishes, coatings, sealants, paints, bonding, and grounding. The authors are responsible for developing plans for assembling aircraft structural components, systems, and payloads. Contributing to the creation of work instructions for the installation of various components, systems, and assemblies. Assisting in the development of efficient process sequences by analyzing, validating, and adhering to aircraft system-related processes, standards, and specifications. Creation of installation plans using CAPP, MES, Teamcenter, and Enovia. Formulation of testing and inspection strategies for ensuring the functionality and continuity of aircraft systems. Conducting process audits on existing installation and fabrication plans to ensure alignment with defined standards. Implementation of standardized work instructions for assembly operations. Continuous evaluation and enhancement of the current assembly processes. Aiding in the implementation of safety protocols, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention measures, and addressing non-conformance issues. Actively participating in the execution of manufacturing plans and contributing to the resolution of technical issues. Engaging in the application of Lean principles and technologies. Ensuring adherence to the company’s quality management system requirements. Employing critical thinking and innovative approaches to problem-solving.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Up to 1 year of experience in a production/manufacturing engineering planning role. Preferred background in aerospace manufacturing/assembly planning. Familiarity with Aerospace Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly Processes, and Technologies. Experience in crafting manufacturing plans and authoring assembly work instructions. Proficiency in interpreting General Drawings & Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Materials and Processes. Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems such as CAPP and MES, along with PDM. Working familiarity with CATIA/NX Modeling software. Highly desirable experience with Boeing products/commercial aircraft platforms.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Typical Education & Experience:

Education and experience typically gained through a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Production or Equivalent), along with around 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent blend of technical education and practical exposure.
