About the Role:
As a Software Engineer I in the Buyer Experience team, you will leverage your creativity, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills to contribute to the development of new B2B payment solutions, analytics tools, and working capital management products. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency.
Our engineering team plays a vital role in shaping user interactions with C2FO. By working alongside the Product team, we develop applications tailored for both internal and external users. Our approach prioritizes short development cycles, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative environment, valuing teamwork and individual contributions while maintaining mutual respect.
- Partner with teams across Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Operations to define requirements, break down tasks, provide accurate estimates, and independently manage complex projects.
- Take full ownership of the codebase and development process, contributing to system improvements and reducing technical debt.
- Demonstrate expertise in source control (especially GitHub) and uphold high standards for testing, code quality, and continuous integration.
- Independently handle large projects involving high-level and low-level design while managing external dependencies efficiently.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the problem space, questioning assumptions, and advocating for the best technical solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations, continuously improve documentation, and uphold high engineering standards.
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, Node.js, TypeScript, and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React.js or Vue.js.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Nest.js, Next.js, Golang, ORM tools, relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and Datadog.
- Strong background in building full-stack features, integrating frontend and backend components.
- Expertise in distributed systems with a solid understanding of high-level and low-level system design.
- Proven ability to build scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed systems in a fast-paced FinTech or product-based environment.
