Capital One Off Campus Hiring – Software Engineering Intern
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, testable, and efficient code.
- Adhere to best practices in software development and deploy applications in an AWS cloud environment using a CI/CD pipeline.
- Apply engineering methodologies such as pair programming, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), continuous integration, and code refactoring.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and explore new advancements in the field.
- Design and implement backend, middleware, or frontend services using Java, SQL or NoSQL databases, Python, Angular, Lit, TypeScript, and AWS.
- Gain exposure to Big Data technologies like Spark and Scala, as well as Machine Learning concepts.
- Promote innovation, collaboration, diversity, and creative problem-solving within the team.
- Work within an Agile development framework to ensure continuous software delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language with a willingness to learn others.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science.
- (Optional) Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, relational or NoSQL databases, and message queue systems.
