Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Technician – GBS Engineering to join our exceptional teams dedicated to product excellence and our company’s expansion. This position is based in Coimbatore.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Generating part numbers for Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Agile & Baan systems.
- Creating Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs) within the Agile & Baan systems.
- Retrieving customer documents, such as product specifications, and facilitating their release through the CDC.
- Fulfilling the role of a Change Analyst during New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for implementing changes.
- Releasing Part Lists for production in relation to new models and post-ECO (Engineering Change Order) implementation.
- Efficiently managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) across global manufacturing sites.
- Utilizing the Agile (PLM) system for various ECO stages including creation, review, routing, tracking, release, and distribution.
- Thoroughly reviewing ECOs and drawings and collaborating with the Process/Product Engineering team at the respective site.
- Close collaboration with Engineering and Materials departments to assess and approve product updates/modifications.
- Addressing queries from Business Partners and customers regarding Engineering Change Orders.
- Ensuring adherence to predefined targets for Process Metrics.
Desired Qualifications:
- A Diploma or B.E. (EEE/ECE) graduate with 0-2 years of experience in a Manufacturing setup, preferably in the EMS Industry, as an NPI/ECO Engineer.
- Proficiency in the following areas:
- New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
- Engineering Change Order (ECO) management
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
- Familiarity with a PLM software connected to ECO procedures
- Mandatory strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Outlook.
- Strong analytical, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Conflict resolution expertise.
- Effective reporting and decision-making skills.
