Job Description
We are seeking an R&D Software Development Engineer to work with our Optics Division products, which include Photonic/WDM, Optical Transport, and SDH/SONET.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining Optics Network Management applications.
These applications are critical in providing users with control over their network, allowing them to configure infrastructure, end-to-end services, supervise faults, and monitor performance.
You will be part of a development team that develops and maintains Optics Network Management applications, which interface with various Network Elements and provide a user-friendly graphical interface.
Your contribution will focus on implementing algorithms and functions that make network management more manageable, reducing OPEX while increasing functionality and customer satisfaction.
Optics Network Management applications are installed in hundreds of locations worldwide, ranging from small to large customers, making this an excellent opportunity to work on exciting projects and make a significant impact in the telecommunications industry.
Additional Details
The desired candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, ECE, or a related field, with a strong passion for high-quality software in complex and geographically dispersed software environments.
They should possess a sound knowledge of CORE JAVA, Spring, Java Script, continuous integration, and agile practices.
Additionally, they should have a good understanding of SQL, PL-SQL, and Linux. Familiarity with network management and OTN domain knowledge is considered a plus.
Any prior experience in leading-edge technological research and development contexts will be evaluated for increasing responsibilities within the development lab.
Education:
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science, ECE, or a related applicable field.
Languages:
Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must-have skill.
