Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • User Support: Respond to, assess, and prioritize incoming requests for assistance via phone, email, and chat from users experiencing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify problems, conduct research, provide solutions, and follow up with customers as needed, escalating more complex cases to the appropriate team.
  • Record Keeping: Log and track calls using a problem management database, maintaining history records and related documentation.
  • Reporting: Prepare standard statistical reports, such as help desk incident reports.
  • Consultation: Work with programmers to explain software errors or recommend changes to programs.
  • Testing: Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether the product will assist users in performing their work.
  • Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
