Job Description
The position available is for a Management Trainee within the Motion Business Area of the Traction Division, located in Bangalore, India. As a Management Trainee, you will report to the Sales Manager and be responsible for supporting product costing, localization, second source initiatives, and ensuring product profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze top-level requirements and utilize electrical software like MatLab to perform initial sizing of equipment through simulation.
- Collaborate with customers to finalize specifications, oversee product development, obtain design/FAI approval, and ensure product performance and reliability.
- Prepare and manage technical bidding documentation, including design documents, RAMS requirements, simulation reports, and other supporting materials.
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, engineering, and service teams to develop bids, create new proposals for business expansion, and manage the product life cycle.
- Assist in creating engineering documentation such as design documents, test specifications, test reports, etc. Conduct training sessions on new offerings for internal teams and customers.
- Support the resolution of customer offering issues and accompany internal partners to customer sites.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, expected to graduate in 2022/2023.
- Maintain an aggregate score of 60% or above across all previous semesters, with no backlogs.
- Possess basic knowledge of power electronics, rectifier, and inverter topology.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to innovate and a desire for continuous improvement.
- Understanding of train/vehicle-level operation and system engineering related to the traction chain is considered advantageous.
- Capable of motivating others and leading a team.
