Job Description

This role pertains to an Analyst possessing an advanced degree in a quantitative field. The role necessitates proficiency and prior experience in various domains, including statistics, applied mathematics, SAS programming language, and a comprehensive comprehension of retail banking as well as small business lending enterprises. The incumbent will apply these proficiencies to the formulation of risk models (such as IRB, IFRS9, Custom Scorecards, etc.) and additional risk analytics pertinent to retail banking and small business lending portfolios. The key duties encompass the development of predictive models grounded in statistical foundations, execution of customer segmentation and profiling analyses employing decision tree methodologies, aiding in the implementation of intricate Regulatory and Scoring models within the business, and furnishing analytical support to Standard Chartered businesses across the global landscape.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or an advanced (Master’s or higher) degree in fields such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or other comparable quantitative disciplines. Comprehensive understanding of retail banking, small business, and consumer finance products, in addition to proficiency in comprehending business life cycles (including sales, underwriting, portfolio management, marketing, and collections). 0-2 years of comprehensive hands-on experience in Statistical Modeling, focusing on credit risk within the domains of retail banking, small business, or consumer finance portfolios. Proficiency in statistical programming, with a preference for SAS, or similar programming languages; well-honed analytical capabilities and a profound grasp of quantitative and statistical analysis. Practical experience in data mining and the interpretation of data patterns. Experience in direct engagement with business stakeholders and exposure to international markets would be considered advantageous. Role-Specific Technical Competencies
