Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimate and Proposal Generation:
- Lead and coordinate the timely creation of cost estimates and proposals.
- Perform take-off activities from bid documents to quantify equipment and device counts.
- Interpret sequence of operations for point count, materials, and control devices.
- Understand labor requirements and code specifications.
- Organize Master Format Specification and identify third-party integration needs.
- Create system network riser diagrams.
- Develop Bill of Material (BOM) and Scope of Work (SOW).

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Previous experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred.
- Familiarity with BAS components: controllers, sensors, communication protocols, etc.
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, HVAC systems, and mechanical systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret mechanical and building automation bid specifications.
- Understanding of building structures and identification of HVAC systems requiring automation.
- Experience with Estimating/Quoting systems is desirable.
- Regulatory and Language Skills:
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Fluent in English; fluency in French required for roles supporting Quebec.
- Software Proficiency and Soft Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills to interpret customer requirements and resolve issues positively.
