Job Description
Mastercard currently has an open position for the role of BizOps Engineer I.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact responsible for ensuring the scalability, performance, and resilience of applications.
- Practice effective incident response and constructive post-mortems, adopting a comprehensive approach to problem-solving and optimizing recovery time.
- Implement automated alerts based on data analysis to proactively escalate potential issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and enhance overall reliability.
Candidate Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Have exposure to coding or scripting.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to embrace change and explore the possibilities of automation.
- Display curiosity about new technologies, infrastructure, and strategies for scaling architecture to accommodate future growth.
- Possess experience in algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
- Exhibit a systematic approach to problem-solving, effective communication skills, and a combination of ownership and motivation.
- Show interest in the design, analysis, and resolution of issues within large-scale distributed systems.
- Be open to learning and embracing challenging opportunities, working as part of a diverse, geographically dispersed project team.

Educational Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates should be in their final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
