Roles & Responsibilities
This role, reporting to the Manager or Technical Lead of Cloud Operations, entails the delivery of cloud assets and the responsibility, at various levels, for software installations and configurations, all while developing automation processes for delivering cloud assets within the SaaS server technologies in a multi-cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities encompass the following tasks. Reasonable accommodations can be made to facilitate individuals with disabilities in performing these essential functions:
- Execute ticket triage, investigation, and resolution of reported requests.
- Diagnose and address automation issues, collaborating with Engineering or Services as required to identify and rectify issues.
- Troubleshoot problems related to user accounts and application access.
- Conduct daily system administration tasks to ensure the proper functioning of all systems.
- Carry out software installations and configurations in cloud-based environments to ensure high availability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application issues to maintain high availability, optimum performance, and system responsiveness.
- Manage and maintain orchestration routines in production.
- Perform routine application software updates and software version upgrades related to automation.
- Install and configure new customer environments as necessary.
- Assist product development teams in implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment, providing templates and guidelines for ensuring the deployment and scalability of code on standardized technologies and platforms.
- Investigate the root cause of production issues related to infrastructure, environment, configuration, or deployment routines; escalate to product development teams when required; remediate root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct basic database monitoring and troubleshoot database performance issues.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance as needed, respond to emergencies, and join customer calls in support of initiatives and incident response.
- Engage in 24/7 on-call support, including shift rotations if necessary.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate as a team member to manage all cloud-based systems in use within the environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for and excel in this role, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty and responsibility. The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent degree is mandatory.
- This is an entry-level position, requiring motivation and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is preferred, with demonstrable proficiency or professional experience being advantageous.
- Familiarity with both Relational and No-SQL databases is preferred, with demonstrable proficiency or professional experience being advantageous.
- Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration technologies and techniques.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Familiarity with operating system administration.
- Capacity to manage a substantial workload with multiple projects and frequent interruptions.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
