Job Responsibilities
- Develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, while adhering to best practices and standards.
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to understand software requirements, design test cases and ensure they are appropriately covered by automated and manual tests.
- Conduct manual testing and identify, report and track issues/bugs, making sure they are resolved and retested.
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for various software applications and document them clearly.
- Analyze test results, identify the root causes of defects, and provide solutions that effectively address the problem.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality, testability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products, and ensure that quality is an integral part of the software development process.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent communication skills and good logical skills.
Prior experience in any testing course will be considered a plus. Additionally, the candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and have knowledge of industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks.
A sound understanding of software testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing, is also required.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Javascript, Java, Python, or C++ is preferred.
Attention to detail and the ability to identify and report issues/bugs is essential.
The candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
