Application Process
Step 1: Visit the TCS NextStep Portal and log in.
Step 2: Register and apply for the hiring drive based on your scenario:
- Existing Users (IT category): Log in with your TCS Reference ID (CT/DT reference number), complete the application form, and click ‘Apply for Drive’.
- New Users: Select ‘Register Now’, choose ‘IT’ as your category, fill in your details, submit the application, and click ‘Apply for Drive’.
Step 3: Choose your test mode (In-centre), select your preferred test location, and submit.
Step 4: Verify your application status under ‘Track Your Application’—it should show ‘Applied for Drive’.
Important Guidelines
- Updates regarding the test schedule and venue will be sent to your registered email ID.
- Keep all your original academic documents ready, as they will be required during the interview (if shortlisted).

Eligibility Criteria
Academic Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA across all subjects in Class 10, Class 12, Diploma (if applicable), Graduation, and Post-Graduation.
Educational Background
- Open to candidates from the 2023 and 2024 batches with the following qualifications:
- MBA in Human Resource Management
- Master’s in Human Resource Management
- Master of Arts in Human Resource
- Master of Social Work in HRM
- Master of Management Studies (HRM specialization)
- Master of Labour Studies (specializing in HRM, Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations, or Labour Law)
- Post Graduate Diploma/Program in HRM or other equivalent courses
Academic Backlogs & Education Gaps
- Backlogs: No pending backlogs, arrears, or ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms). Completing backlog exams after the standard course duration will be considered extended education, which is not allowed.
- Education Gap: Any gap in education must be declared. The total break period should not exceed 24 months and should not be due to extended education. Supporting documents must be provided for verification.
Course & Schooling Type
- Only full-time courses are eligible; part-time or correspondence courses will not be considered.
- Candidates who completed secondary/senior secondary education via NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) can apply, provided their graduation/post-graduation was completed as a full-time course.
