Job Description
Airtel is currently recruiting for the position of Lead System Engineer!
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Ensure network and system uptime while possessing a robust understanding of NOC Monitoring Systems.
- Conduct regular checks on network, hardware, software, servers, and clients, promptly addressing errors/alerts in the Transport Stream and hardware malfunctions.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with various tools such as TS analysis tool, RF margin tools, STB testing tools, and Barco wall monitoring hardware.
- Possess knowledge of DTH/Cable industry hardware, including IRD, Encoders, MUXs, Modulators, Evertz MVIP, Grass Valley MVIP, and Monitoring Wall (Barco, etc), and hands-on experience in configuring these hardware components.
- Proficient in MPEG compression (H.264/H.265), Audio compression (AAC, DD, DD+, Dolby ATMOS), DVB – S/S2, SI/PSI tables, ASI/SDI, Encryption, simulcrypt, and Transport Streams.
- Familiarity with STB’s operation, STB architecture, CAM/VC, EMM, ECM, EPG, OTA, DU, Interactive applications, STB games, FP, etc.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to coordinate effectively with partners and cross-functional departments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Full-time B.E. degree, preferably in Electronics/Communication.
- 0-10 years of relevant experience.
