Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Associate, your main responsibility will be to analyze print book file quality and make informed decisions based on given specifications and instructions.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the final file quality meets the required standards.
This position demands a keen eye for detail, the ability to adapt to updated instructions, and the skill to work independently and efficiently in a decision-driven workflow.
Proficiency in Excel is essential for tracking data.
Additionally, as part of this role, you must approach the review of explicit adult content from a clinical perspective, which includes nudity and strong language.
Primary Objectives:
Your primary tasks will include performing quick visual reviews of print book files according to provided specifications and training.
These reviews will require making judgment-based decisions guided by standard operating procedures (SOPs).
You will need to compare each task with the outlined specifications in the SOPs.
While adhering to general workflow guidelines, you should work independently to meet targets and deadlines.
Effective communication with Quality Assurance Specialists and Quality Assurance Leads will be crucial for seeking clarification and resolving queries.
Recording daily work data using Excel is a vital aspect of the role.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess a working knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Word and Excel.
Fluent spoken and written English language skills are a must.
The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment driven by software systems and processes is essential.
You should be adept at troubleshooting and making quick visual decisions based on your training.
Flexibility to work weekends is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, knowledge or experience in the publishing industry would be beneficial for this role.
Previous experience in quality assurance and tracking data will also be advantageous.
An aptitude for swiftly learning new systems and software, coupled with excellent multitasking, prioritization, organizational, and follow-up skills, will contribute to your success in this position.
