Job Description

Associate Quality Services – QS – Chennai

About the Team:

The QS team is dedicated to conducting manual testing for a diverse range of products and services within the Amazon ecosystem. Our objective is to empower Amazon as the most customer-centric company by delivering prompt, dependable, and high-quality manual testing services and solutions.

Job Description:

Execute test plans and test cases, generate test data, and communicate results promptly, clearly, and concisely.

Demonstrate an understanding of the project/product’s functionality and adapt to evolving requirements and documentation.

Proactively identify gaps in test cases and explore beyond them to identify issues/bugs.

Conduct processes to comprehensively test product changes.

Be agile and responsive to shifting priorities in projects, swiftly adapting the testing approach.

Possess the ability to backtrack and perform root cause analysis of bugs/issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This involves, but is not limited to:

Adhering to pre-defined SOP, standard test methods, and/or processes.

Executing test cases for small, simple components and/or features related to apps, services, or devices to verify they operate as designed. Meeting daily productivity and quality targets. Documenting bugs/failures related to test instruction execution and/or quality mechanisms. Monitoring resolution in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).

Contributing ideas for project improvements to streamline daily routines when applicable.

Influencing the quality of assigned components and features.

Acquiring knowledge from peers, on-the-job training, and content provided by the Device and Quality team (e.g., SharePoint, Wiki, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

Educational Qualification: BE, BTech, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), BSc in Computers, BCA, MSc in Information Technology (IT).

Work Experience: Minimal or no prior experience required.

Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken) in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrating problem-solving analytical skills and testing acumen.

Exhibiting excellent attention to detail and working with the highest level of accuracy.

Having a good understanding of the Windows desktop environment and proficiency in using Word, Excel, IE, Firefox, etc.

Flexibility and interest in performing repetitive tasks.

A sense of ownership, drive, and a willingness to tackle the challenge of daily deadlines is essential.

Additional Information:

Domestic Relocation: Not provided.

Shifts: Mostly 8 AM to 5 PM (subject to change based on business requirements).

Weekly Off: Saturday and Sunday (subject to change based on business requirements).
