- This position is exclusive to three designated colleges where invitations have been extended.
- We kindly request all other colleges not in receipt of invitations from Barclays to advise their candidates against applying.
- Discovery is a two-day immersive event designed for students to gain firsthand experience of Barclays and be considered for Summer Internships in 2025 ahead of others.
- Participants will have the opportunity to explore careers at Barclays, learn about the business world, and self-discover.
- The event provides insight into various roles and opportunities, serving as a gateway to our 8-week internships.
Technology:
- Barclays emphasizes technology’s pivotal role in its success and nurtures an environment conducive to innovation, investing significantly in technology.
Expectations:
- Programme Dates: April 17th – 18th, 2024
- Engage in seminars and workshops covering financial services, chosen business areas, recruitment processes, and Barclays as an employer.
- Participate in business area-specific breakout sessions to gain insight into the 2025 Summer Internship.
- Develop understanding of the assessment process and subsequent steps.
- Network with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including current graduates.
- Attend dedicated networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates aligned with chosen business areas.
- Explore Barclays’ D&I networks.
- On the second day, candidates can undergo assessment for the 2025 summer internship through two interviews.
Risk and Control Objective:
- Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory requirements, the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Selection Criteria:
- Graduation between December 2025 and June 2026.
- Students from any degree discipline are welcome.
- Demonstrated curiosity about how a global bank navigates a constantly evolving environment.
