Job Description
Boeing India Engineering is currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer – C++ to join their team in Bangalore, India. These positions will focus on supporting the AvionX and Embedded Software organization.
A successful candidate will recognize the significance of collaboration, as these roles will involve working closely with the Architect or Technical Lead to implement technical solutions that contribute to the achievement of the business unit’s goals.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Developing high-level and low-level software requirements.
- Estimating the effort required for code development and software testing.
- Creating requirements, code, test cases, and test procedures for high-level and low-level software requirements.
- Establishing traceability from software requirements to code and tests.
- Conducting peer reviews on test cases and test procedures.
- Supporting project management by providing regular status updates and required metrics data.
- Being a valuable team player within the agile team, demonstrating excellent communication skills to actively participate in requirement/design/code/test reviews.
- Possessing a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability, and maintainability.
- Embracing a self-driven and collaborative development approach.
- Being dynamic and assisting management and leads in ensuring successful product deliveries.
- Identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks, issues, and opportunities in a timely manner.

Basic qualifications (required skills/experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Good understanding of C++ and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Desire to work in all aspects of the product life cycle development process.
- Ideal candidate is a self-starter and works well within a team.
- Solid programming knowledge (4+ years) with C/C++.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience in writing and developing software requirements with little or no existing requirements.
- Strong experience with Linux or Unix.
- Proficiency in building, integrating with, and supporting Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using various languages, data formats, and data transformations.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Experience in automated and functional testing.
- Exposure to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience working in an Agile development model.
- Experience in software integration testing in an integration lab environment.
- Systems thinking ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships between system components and plans, as well as anticipate future events.
- Analytical skills, including data collection, organization, synthesis, analysis, summarization, and the development of conclusions and recommendations based on appropriate data sources.

Education and experience are typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
