Job Purpose and Contribution
The role of Process Engineer I revolves around the application of engineering methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and optimize product outcomes. This position involves offering technical assistance, leveraging operational expertise, driving continuous improvement, and exhibiting project management proficiencies to bolster plant operations in terms of safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
The core responsibilities encompass overseeing manufacturing equipment and processes with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the facilitation of quality assurance. Evaluating existing manufacturing equipment and processes, and formulating suggestions for enhancements. Undertaking equipment troubleshooting and repair activities, accompanied by comprehensive reporting of outcomes. Executing tests and measurements during various production stages, aimed at assessing variables like temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity. Collaborating with process engineers in evaluating capital expenditures and project designs to identify innovative, cost-efficient strategies that enhance overall quality and reliability. Addressing straightforward issues and challenges under immediate supervision, while appropriately escalating complex matters to relevant personnel. Fulfilling any additional responsibilities as delegated. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent field or equivalent practical experience. Other prerequisites as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in data analysis, including a background in continuous improvement methodologies or relevant certifications. Demonstrated familiarity with pertinent engineering subject matter. Competence in utilizing PI (data historian), ACAD (auto CAD), and MS Project software. Prior exposure to project management through past roles. At least one year of relevant professional experience. Familiarity with Green Belt, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
