About the Role
The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting supply chain data to support business goals. This role involves working closely with various teams, including sourcing, engineering, and quality, to ensure data accuracy and provide meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Reporting & Analysis
- Develop dashboards using Power BI or Excel to track key supply chain metrics.
- Monitor and report on crucial metrics such as material productivity, cost savings, and payment term enhancements, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
- Provide analytical support to sourcing teams for specific projects and performance evaluations.
- Document report structures and methodologies through comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Data Management & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process automation to enhance efficiency in reporting and analysis.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to optimize workflows.
- Maintain data accuracy across digital reporting platforms and ensure consistency across multiple systems.
Project Support
- Assist in executing supply chain initiatives and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Support business units by providing data-driven insights and assistance in specific projects as required.
Required Skills & Competencies
Educational Background
- Pursuing a degree in Operations, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with an interest in Supply Chain Management.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
- Basic understanding of Power BI (certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Analytical & Communication Skills
- Ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
- Strong understanding of reporting structures and data integrity principles.
- Effective verbal and written communication to convey insights clearly.
