Job Description

CGI Hiring Computer Science Freshers

Position Description:

• Conduct initial hardware diagnostics and install layered products as needed.
• 0 to 1 year of experience in remote infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with virtualization products and functionalities.
• Knowledgeable in security patching procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, within the team and with all stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of ITIL processes.
• Install and configure Linux systems and servers for organization-wide deployment.
• Set up specific applications following run book requirements.
• Perform routine system maintenance and address server-side issues promptly.
• Upgrade operating systems and applications, and manage server migrations to new environments.
• Maintain security and manage OS patches for Linux-based systems.
• Install and manage agents on servers for centralized monitoring and management.
• Experience with Ansible or similar tools is desirable.
• Manage and maintain Linux-based operating systems (OS) on both physical and virtual environments.
• Utilize scripting languages (Bourne, PERL, BASH, PowerShell, etc.) to optimize and automate administrative tasks.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with stakeholders to minimize disruptions at L1 Level.
• Willingness to work 24/7 rotational shifts.
