Job Description
Clarivate – Software Engineer
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to be part of our LS&H RWD DRG Fusion group. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to a startup-style product while collaborating with diverse stakeholders across departments. The team currently has 20+ members and reports directly to the Software Engineering Manager. In this position, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS Cloud, and related frameworks.
Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, JAX-RS, Microservices Architecture, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AWS Cloud.
- Proficiency in version control tools such as Git and GitHub.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, including backend services and front-end components.
- Skilled in debugging, troubleshooting, and writing technical documentation.
- Practical experience in SQL query writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or knowledge in the Healthcare or Life Sciences domain.
- Excellent communication skills combined with strong analytical thinking.
- Cloud certifications (AWS or other providers) at beginner to advanced levels.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and containerization with Docker.
- Understanding of Agile development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Play a central role in the development team by contributing to core features and enhancements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for use across the wider team.
