Job Description


Qualifications:

Bachelor of Engineering or Technology

Responsibilities:

Product Requirements:

  1. Comprehend functional and non-functional requirements obtained from stakeholders (Architect, Product Manager, Product Lead, Client) for enhancements.
  2. Participate in cross-functional meetings to review Product Marketing Requirements and Functional Requirements, generating a clarification list to address ambiguities.
  3. Conduct feasibility studies to understand the impact of requirements on the existing product.
  4. Provide inputs to the development lead on estimations.
  5. Grasp new/complex product requirements (functional and non-functional).
  6. Develop a low-level design document, including class-level diagrams and attributes mapped to the class and sequence diagrams, based on a high-level design understanding.
  7. Seek review inputs from the Architect and incorporate them.

Product Design and Development:

  1. Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) to assess the feasibility of new technologies/products and share findings with the architecture team.
  2. Offer strategic technical direction for product research, design analysis, testing process improvement, and complex troubleshooting for critical and large projects.
  3. Develop high-level software design (HLSD) documents under the guidance of Architects.
  4. Establish design standards and deliver solutions meeting product functional and non-functional requirements.
  5. Provide technical expertise to address challenging programming and design problems.
  6. Participate in architecture/code reviews to identify and resolve implementation problems early in the development cycle.
  7. Create/review low-level design documents for product enhancement.
  8. Seek review inputs from the product lead.
  9. Build code as per the design document if required.
  10. Provide technical guidance to the team for resolving complex technical issues.
  11. Create a requirement traceability matrix and review test cases, coding standards, and testing defects.
  12. Identify ways to improve or reduce defects.
  13. Support the client in user acceptance testing if required.

Product Testing:

  1. Review test cases/test plans.
  2. Conduct integration testing and address defects/bugs during QA testing, Alpha Release, Beta Release, and post-release patches.

Product Training and Documentation:

  1. Provide inputs to technical publications and review documentation of key features as needed.

Product Sign Offs:

  1. Resolve existing issues.
  2. Gather user feedback from the client and identify ways to enhance usability.

Project Management:

  1. Provide inputs on the status of module development to the development lead.

People Management:

  1. Mentor Software Engineers and conduct one-on-one sessions to coach team members.
  2. Set goals for team members and monitor performance.
  3. Conduct performance appraisals for team members.

Must-Have Skills:

  • .Net Core
  • MS SQL Server
  • ASP.NET
