Job Description
BASIC FUNCTIONS: This entry-level position carries out fundamental software development tasks within a specific software functional area or product line.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Basic understanding of data manipulation languages.
• Fundamental comprehension of data modeling principles.
• Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
• Basic proficiency in development languages including, but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Linux, UNIX.
• Understanding of test-driven development.
• Ability and eagerness to learn new processes and technologies.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Contribute to and review detailed specifications for the development of system components with simple complexity.
• Resolve simple bug fixes.
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and participate in code reviews under the guidance of senior-level engineers.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Address basic technical issues as required.
• Stay updated on new technology developments.
• Perform any other assigned duties.
