Position Overview
We are expanding our fintech team and are seeking Graduate Trainees to join our Chennai, India location.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in structured training programs and workshops to build role-specific competencies.
- Learn the end-to-end software development life cycle and apply it to project tasks.
- Work toward completing relevant IT certifications.
- Develop proficiency in multiple programming languages and gain practical coding experience.
- Use Microsoft Office tools—including Project—at an advanced level.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Become familiar with diverse software and hardware environments.
- Leverage any prior experience in technical support when addressing issues.
- Support software testing activities and assist in delivering reliable solutions.
- Identify, debug, and resolve issues in applications and code.
- Create and update technical documentation for ongoing use.
- Contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of existing software systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and programming practices.
- Join code review sessions to expand coding knowledge and improve quality.
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand design guidelines and implement them correctly.
- Follow project schedules, processes, and industry best practices.
- Assist with assigned tasks and projects under guidance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project milestones.
- Actively participate in discussions and share new ideas.
- Review application logs and validate associated database entries.
- Monitor email alerts from production and lower environments to identify potential issues.
- Stay alert during production deployments to track any abnormal alerts.
- Detect job execution errors and escalate them to the Support and Operations teams for reprocessing.
- Create detailed test cases aligned with requirements.
- Execute test cases, analyze outcomes, and identify defects.
- Verify test results to ensure compliance with entry and exit criteria.
- Communicate defect details and progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Make sure products and applications meet quality benchmarks and follow best practices.
- Reproduce and diagnose client-reported issues in test environments.
- Be open to working shifts across APAC, UK, and US time zones.
- Provide weekend production support as part of a rotational schedule.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Engineering graduates with 0–1 year of professional experience.
- Preferably B.Tech or B.E in Computer Science (2024 or 2025 graduates).
