Position Overview:
We are seeking to expand our exceptional team by hiring an Associate Engineer – IT, to be based in Chennai. This role will report to the Manager and will involve the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both functional and technical support for Human Resources across multiple regions.
- Engage in Systems Analysis and Design for new HR initiatives, which includes gathering requirements with HR SMEs, documenting processes, configuring systems, participating in data conversion, building proofs of concept, troubleshooting, testing, and providing end-user training.
- Handle application configurations for various HR programs and processes, such as Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Leave Administration, and vendor integrations.
- Integrate and align local business processes with global standards throughout the worker life cycle.
- Lead or assist in data requirement and process design sessions, data conversion, proof-of-concept development, data analysis, audit compliance, regression testing, and end-user training. Facilitate team processes and develop or review Unit Testing and UAT test plans and scripts as needed.
- Manage or assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including coordination and obtaining signoff from users. Configure business processes, security settings, integrations/interfaces, and reports.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, business process re-engineering, configuration, data conversion, application integration, testing, rollout, and provide post-implementation support.
- Bring strong business analysis skills and a creative approach to solving complex business problems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with 0-2 years of IT experience.
- Experience as a Workday Technical Analyst with a willingness to work on other HR software.
- Ability to create functional design and integration specifications, preferably with off-shore technical resources.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating business requirements and delivering solutions.
- Knowledge of Java, J2EE, XML, XPath, and XSLT is required.
- Basic understanding of web services (SOAP, WSDL, and their relationship to Schema).
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of web-based IT applications.
- Capable of thriving in a diverse, high-pressure environment, while building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts to support users across different time zones.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
