Collaborate with fellow members of the Data Research Engineering Team to conceive, build, and maintain web applications, emphasizing both front-end and back-end components. Execute and augment features for web applications through Python and Django for server-side development. Create RESTful APIs and seamlessly integrate them with front-end components to facilitate smooth data exchange and functionality. Craft and sustain efficient, reusable code for both back-end and front-end segments of the application. Devise and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React, HTML, and CSS. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the flawless operation of the application across various browsers and platforms. Optimize web applications for peak speed, scalability, and performance. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to contribute innovative ideas for application enhancements. Address and resolve application defects and reported issues in collaboration with the Data Research Engineer. Work with the Data Research Engineer to estimate development efforts and meet project deadlines. Shoulder accountability for achieving development milestones. Prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Continually enhance technical knowledge and skills to evolve as a full-stack developer. Execute tasks with precision and build reliable systems. Effectively leverage online resources such as Stack Overflow, ChatGPT, Bard, etc., considering their capabilities and limitations.
Qualifications
Prefer recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with the Django web framework. Exhibit proficiency in front-end technologies: React.js, HTML, and CSS. Possess knowledge of SQL and database systems, including but not limited to PostgreSQL or MySQL. Demonstrate expertise in RESTful API development and integration. Understand web development principles, encompassing responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility. Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail. Showcase creative and critical thinking abilities. Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment. Possess effective communication skills. Display eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is advantageous. Knowledge of Docker containers or similar technologies is a plus. Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and expand knowledge in data engineering. Adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Comfortable with autonomy and the ability to work independently.
