Job Description

GE Renewable Energy is actively recruiting for the position of Grid Compliance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct product development and technical analysis pertaining to power electronics and power systems control, specifically focusing on renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, and large industrial drives.
2. Review global Grid Codes for various operating entities/owners and formulate a product compliance matrix.
3. Collaborate with the functional team to assess existing product compliance and generate Compliance reports for each product line.
4. Address grid code compliance issues in coordination with the engineering team.
5. Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of the electrical characteristics of GE Vernova Solar & Storage Solutions power electronics products and their seamless integration into electrical grids.
6. Actively contribute to the continuous development of transmission and distribution connected products, aligning with evolving codes and standards. This includes participating in industry standards groups and spearheading innovative approaches to power equipment design.
7. Effectively communicate findings through detailed written reports and presentations, outlining analyses, developed solutions, and customer value propositions.
8. Provide support for domestic and international projects, adapting to regional market needs, and relay customer requirements and values to GE.
9. Engage in project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes while meeting budget and project timeline metrics.
10. Foster a collaborative working environment that prioritizes teamwork, quality, customer service, and innovation.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or electric power engineering or a related field.
2. 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
3. General understanding/awareness of electrical grid code topics.
4. Familiarity with country/region technical regulations and standards.
5. Understanding of inverter-based electrical equipment.
6. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
