Job Description


Harman International is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of C++/Linux Developer.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in software development and unit testing, including the creation of software (SW) frameworks and modules for the Head Unit.
  2. Optimize computational applications, such as computer vision, image processing, graphics, and machine learning, for various architectures like x86, ARM, NEON, or CUDA.
  3. Conceptualize, architect, and prototype software solutions for high-performance embedded systems.
  4. Analyze system requirements and collaborate on clarifications internally within Daimler and with suppliers.
  5. Define and analyze SW requirements and SW interfaces.
  6. Manage integration, build, and release of applications.
  7. Document High-Level and Low-Level designs, source code, and unit tests.
  8. Develop, flash, and test applications on Embedded Hardware.
  9. Communicate effectively with partners, suppliers, and team members.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field.
  2. Possess 1+ years of experience in embedded Linux platform development.
  3. Familiarity with IPC mechanisms like DBus, Thrift, etc.
  4. Proficient in UML modeling tools such as EA and Rhapsody.
  5. Solid understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD), including unit and module testing.
  6. Knowledgeable in SW version control tools like SVN and GIT.
  7. Understanding of systems software design, operating systems, and architectures.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile Scrum environment using Atlassian tools.
