IKEA Off Campus Hiring – Software Test Engineer

As a Software Test Engineer, you will join a DevOps team responsible for application management, architecture, and web development using SharePoint and Azure.

Our products serve as the primary communication channels for over 170,000 co-workers worldwide. We closely collaborate with various business stakeholders to effectively convey essential messages and information to our global team. This dynamic environment drives us to continually improve and deliver top-quality experiences for our colleagues.

The ideal Software Test Engineer should:

• Be naturally curious and eager to learn new skills
• Promote innovative methods, digital systems, and processes to enhance performance
• Demonstrate proficiency in verifying system quality and adhering to best practices
• Ensure a thorough understanding of user stories and expected outcomes, seeking clarification when needed
• Have relevant training in computer science or equivalent practical experience
• Thrive in an Agile and DevOps setting, taking full responsibility for products and customer experience
• Be passionate about delivering high-quality software, focusing on smooth user experiences and robust foundations
• Confidently express opinions and engage in discussions with other product teams and stakeholders to establish common engineering standards

YOUR SKILLS INCLUDE: You should be adept at working independently on all aspects of functional testing in SharePoint, promoting best practices in this area. You will actively participate in team collaboration and the agile development lifecycle, from user story analysis to solution maintenance in production.

Ideal candidates will have experience in several of the following areas:

• Strong knowledge of software testing practices, including design, development, and documentation using industry-standard tools
• Ability to assess projects from privacy, GDPR, and ethics perspectives
• Expertise in functional testing for SharePoint, particularly SharePoint Online Modern
• Extensive experience with various system integration scenarios
• Interest in or experience with search analysis and enhancement options
• Interest in or experience with AI
• Solid understanding of security and privacy considerations in testing

Comfort with various technologies, demonstrating a tech-agnostic approach, is essential. Familiarity with the Kaltura video platform is a plus.
