Role: Junior Test Engineer
Job Overview:
As part of the eMCE QA team, the Junior Test Engineer will support the validation of end-to-end requirements across a range of customer-facing and internal applications, including Web, Client/Server, Hybrid, and Mobile solutions.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced environment involving multiple technologies, platforms, and lab setups. A basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential, along with knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect management, and related methodologies.
Experience/Skill Level: Freshers are welcome.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to translate technical details into clear requirements.
- Sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Team-oriented with readiness to extend working hours if needed.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in test execution, debugging, and troubleshooting in multitasking environments.
- Independent, motivated, and adaptable to dynamic situations.
- Exposure to mobile application testing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with defect logging and reporting practices.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/SQL.
- Basic programming knowledge, preferably in Java.
Nice-to-Have (Optional):
- Experience working in varied project models, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Understanding of software engineering concepts, iterative development, and quality principles.
Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A – preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics.
