Job Description

Job Description: GPU Software Development Engineer

  • Join Intel’s Visual and Parallel Computing Group (CGAI) to collaborate with leading graphics software engineers on cutting-edge GPU/CPU architecture projects.
  • Contribute to the development of Intel’s 3D graphics, media, display GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology.
  • Responsible for validating multiple aspects of the graphics display software stack, including pre-silicon and post-silicon validation of graphics drivers.
  • Develop test plans, strategies, and specifications; analyze test data; conduct in-depth debugging; publish test documentation; participate in reviews; and update tests throughout the product life cycle.
  • Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to design innovative test solutions that enhance efficiency.
  • Manage work planning and scheduling across multiple products to meet project deadlines, focusing on optimizing software for power, performance, and user experience.
  • Involved in all design phases, from pre-silicon emulation/simulation to post-silicon product launch.
  • Work with various teams to resolve issues and suggest future hardware and software enhancements.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-geo teams of validation/development engineers, Graphics Hardware Architect/Designers, product validation, marketing, legal, and support teams to innovate cutting-edge graphics features.
  • Research, design, develop, and maintain software test suites for graphics driver features.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development and validation.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ software product development, particularly in Windows environments.
  • Experience in systems hardware/software product development teams and applying project management methodologies within the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong attention to technical detail, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Android/Linux device driver architecture, development, or validation, along with program management software lifecycle processes and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the graphics industry and technologies, such as embedded DisplayPort/DisplayPort, MIPI DSI, and HDMI.
  • Experience in generating software development project indicators and competitive analysis of relevant graphics technologies.
