As a Software Engineer I at JPMorgan Chase, AWM, IMA MO EAGLE, you will be part of an agile team responsible for enhancing, designing, and delivering software components for the firm’s cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As an entry-level member of the software engineering team, you will develop basic software solutions, contribute to design and troubleshooting efforts in a specific technical area within a business function, while gaining valuable skills and experience to progress in your role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops basic software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language, with guidance from peers.
  • Interprets architecture, design representations, and nonfunctional requirements to create secure and stable software aligned with the defined architecture.
  • Actively employs automation to minimize manual tasks in the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Addresses basic code quality issues.
  • Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes data sets for technical troubleshooting and generates insights for continuous improvements.
  • Breaks down routine technical tasks to identify and resolve issues.
