Job Description
KLA Off Campus Hiring – Engineer, Algorithm Research & Development
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzing and enhancing datasets and workflows related to deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) models
- Evaluating and optimizing DL/ML model performance
- Conducting comparative assessments of different DL/ML models
- Implementing algorithms to boost the signal-to-noise ratio across various image conditions, focusing on extracting information from noisy visuals
- Collaborating with local and global teams throughout product development stages
- Partnering with engineering teams to establish performance targets and ensuring they are met
- Offering technical assistance during product demonstrations and beta testing, engaging with domain experts on customer projects
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in areas such as image processing, computer vision, or pattern recognition
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Linux shell scripting, and object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with version control software
- Effective communication skills for both written and spoken formats
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and manage priorities effectively
Educational Requirements:
Recent graduates holding degrees such as a Ph.D., dual degree, master’s, or bachelor’s, with a focus on Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or Mathematics, are preferred.
