Job Description

Desktop Support:

The role of an IT technical support officer involves the installation and configuration of computer systems, as well as the diagnosis of hardware and software issues. You will be responsible for resolving technical and application problems, whether it’s over the phone or in person. Depending on the size of the organization, you may cover one or multiple areas of expertise. The primary goal of this role is to ensure smooth operations of computer systems, ultimately contributing to the organization’s success.

Requirements

The job requirements for this position include monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, as well as installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.

It also involves providing timely technical support across the company in person or over the phone, setting up accounts for new users, repairing and replacing equipment as necessary, and maintaining and resolving issues on LAN/WAN, VPN, biometric, AV systems connections.

Additionally, the role involves coordinating with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop/Laptop computing equipment and software, supporting in testing and deployment of new applications and systems, addressing user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking, conducting remote troubleshooting, and organizing and filing documentation related to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware.
