Job Description

We are in search of an energetic Frontend Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual with a solid foundation in JavaScript and a noteworthy history of college-level projects. This position presents a distinctive opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding startup while refining skills in cutting-edge frontend technologies.

Details

• Date: Starting Dec 2023 or early Jan 2024
• Stipend: 50,000 INR per month
• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Preferred office in Bangalore
• PPO eligibility is based on performance during the internship period

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Construct reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Optimize components for optimal performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Enhance and maintain the company’s WhatsApp commerce platform.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to enhance usability.
• Draft functional requirement documents and guides.
• Generate quality mockups and prototypes.
• Assist in integrating various data sources and databases into one system.
• Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies.

Requirements Must-Haves:

• Strong understanding of JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Experience with Authentication and Authorization, along with concepts related to routing libraries such as React Router.
• Thorough experience with React and its core principles, including React Hooks.
• Familiarity with Redux, particularly with Thunk/Saga for state management.
• Proficiency in testing using tools like JEST and Cypress.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the web.
• Ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.

Good to Haves:

• Knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript is a significant plus.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Inquisitiveness to understand the system as a whole, rather than being confined to your domain of expertise.
• Proven experience working in software engineering teams.
• Proven experience collaborating with non-software teams such as product, customer success, etc.
