Job Description
Mastercard is currently seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The responsibilities of the candidate include:
- Playing a vital role in advancing product quality and facilitating the development and delivery of superior products.
- Collaborating closely with our development teams to refine and improve our existing software development procedures.
- Championing Quality Engineering principles to contribute to the creation of high-quality software.
- Partnering with developers to streamline and automate testing and release processes.
- Integrating Quality as an integral component of the development workflow.
- Analyzing system requirements in conjunction with development teams to ensure effective design solutions.
- Providing technical evaluations of application software to ensure alignment with business and functional requirements.
- Reviewing test cases to guarantee accuracy and comprehensive coverage of acceptance criteria.
- Offering technical support to client application teams during new service implementations and serving as a subject matter expert for support escalations.
Requirements for this position include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Proficiency in Java, Selenium WebDriver, RESTful services, JSON, and XML.
- Familiarity with unit test frameworks like Junit.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems, such as Bitbucket.
- Ability to create acceptance and integration automation tests, integrate with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins/Bamboo), and use code coverage tools like Sonar.
- Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology.
- Knowledge or exposure to cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with SQL and SQL databases.
