Microchip’s Corporate Design Automation (DA) team in Chennai is seeking a Software Engineer to develop strategic software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining application software solutions tailored to the requirements of the corporate community. Collaboration with stakeholders worldwide will be essential to comprehend their needs and generate innovative ideas to tackle intricate problems. Successful candidates must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered:
- Proficiency in software engineering and programming
- Strong Python scripting skills
- Extensive knowledge of Django or a similar web framework
- Familiarity with web page development, including HTML, JavaScript (JQuery, AJAX)
- Working knowledge of SQL, preferably MySQL or MariaDB
- Experience with both Linux and Windows environments
- Familiarity with SCM/DM tools such as SVN, Git, Perforce, etc.
- Proficient in technical problem-solving
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology
