(Operations Management Trainee)

JOB OVERVIEW

The Operations Management Trainee (MT) should possess high motivation and a results-oriented mindset, coupled with a robust foundation in operations and a dedication to continuous learning and professional development. The MT will undergo a comprehensive training program that focuses on operations, providing exposure to various departments and roles within the organization to develop essential skills in leadership, problem-solving, and process optimization. Additionally, the individual should be devoted to contributing to the operational excellence of the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The MT may be assigned a combination of the following responsibilities based on the functional role:

  1. Support day-to-day planning activities in collaboration with contract manufacturers and in-house functions.
  2. Coordinate with stakeholders to monitor customer purchase orders until shipment completion.
  3. Review long-term and short-term forecasts to ensure capacity and material supply alignment.
  4. Collaborate with the NPI team on new product releases, ensuring capacity ramp-up for future demand.
  5. Ensure business continuity to support customers.
  6. Review lead times, communicate them to customers, and drive allocation strategies.
  7. Plan spares as per requirements, ensuring continuous service for customers.
  8. Support commissioning requirements by coordinating with field services.
  9. Assist in process excellence projects, including the development of training modules.
  10. Develop and manage processes to support Lean manufacturing.

LOCATION, TRAVEL, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work location: Bangalore/Chennai
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as per business needs.
  • Compliance with the Ohmium Vaccination Policy, requiring all employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19. FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, OR EQUIVALENT

  • B-Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Production + MBA in Operations Management.
  • Certifications in SCM/Planning/Lean are advantageous.

  • Full-time regular employee working at least forty (40) hours per week or as required on weekends or evenings.
