Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other team members to comprehend project objectives and align them with industry standards and the product’s core features.
- Execute automated test scripts, document results, and log any defects with sufficient diagnostics for effective troubleshooting.
- Design, maintain, and run automated test scenarios.
- Write, evaluate, and refine unit tests and other related test code, particularly in Python.
- Set up and manage test environments as well as automation frameworks.
- Communicate test outcomes to developers and support them in understanding quality benchmarks and release criteria.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while balancing time constraints and project deadlines.
- Contribute to test planning by providing time and effort estimates during release planning sessions.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 0–2 years of professional experience in software testing or related fields.
- Solid foundation in automated testing, writing test plans, and applying structured testing methodologies.
- Proven experience testing web applications, including both frontend interfaces and backend services.
- Prior exposure to the banking or financial services sector is a plus.
- Proficient in programming languages like Python or Java for test automation.
- Skilled in API testing, including both RESTful and SOAP-based services.
- Comfortable working with XML, databases, and SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium using Python or JavaScript.
- Effective at creating, executing, and managing test cases and reporting results.
- Able to troubleshoot and debug complex issues by reviewing source code and logs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in highly technical environments.
- Experience working in agile, collaborative teams with streamlined workflows.
- Self-driven, quality-focused, and enthusiastic about improving software standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab pipelines is a plus.
- Experience using version control platforms such as GitLab or Bitbucket.
- Familiar with defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Understanding of SaaS platforms is highly preferred.
- Willing to work flexible hours as needed to meet project timelines.
