PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As a member of the Business Development team, the incumbent will be responsible for engaging with customers from various technology organizations. The individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that the right selection of customers and technology providers is made for the area of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering that will fit their current and future needs. The incumbent will provide guidance to the customers and navigate them through the organization and processes to receive the best support. This will help them reach their leadership goals in business development.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES The Market Research Intern will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to assist in informed business and product development decisions. The individual will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary market research and developing surveys for our market research on our consumers & competitors in the marketplace. They will consolidate information into actionable items, reports, and presentations. In addition, they will perform targeted market research to provide insights that support our marketing department in developing a clear understanding of our competitors. The intern will work closely with department heads to understand the implementation of the collected data, facilitating business growth and product development.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS The ideal candidate will have a strong desire and motivation to develop a career in Marketing or Sales. They will possess strong leadership and team-building skills and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team. The candidate should have an aptitude for learning, being mentored, and improving. They should have strong problem-solving skills, be customer-focused, and be a good team player. Good communication skills in English (oral & written) are also essential.
IT SYSTEMS & SOFTWARE SKILLS The candidate should be familiar with engineering software and systems.
ADDITIONAL NON-MANDATORY SKILLS A good understanding of Marketing and business development would be an advantage.
