Job Description

What You Will Do

Software Development: Design and build new functionalities, resolve defects, and produce readable, well-structured, and maintainable code.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Create unit and integration tests, support test automation initiatives, and actively contribute to maintaining high product standards.

Collaboration: Partner closely with mentors, senior developers, quality engineers, product teams, documentation writers, and the broader open-source community.

Automation & CI/CD: Develop, enhance, and maintain automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.

Platform & Infrastructure: Work with container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift and develop a solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, including storage and networking. Expertise in at least one of these areas is expected.

Continuous Learning: Explore and adopt emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cloud computing, and containerization while embracing Red Hat’s open-source culture.

What You Will Bring

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, or AI/ML), completed within the last year (2025 graduates).
  • Programming experience in Python, Golang (or similar languages), and JavaScript, along with exposure to modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Working knowledge of databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
  • Basic familiarity with Linux environments, container technologies, and CI/CD practices.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in an inclusive, customer-focused, and innovation-driven environment.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, SonarQube, code review processes, debugging utilities, and logging or observability platforms.
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift DO180/DO280) will be considered an added advantage.
