Role Scope:
The Developer Support Engineer profile offers an opportunity to enhance your expertise across the Salesforce Platform. We operate 24×7, which may entail working during one of the following shifts based on business requirements, and we also maintain a non-standard workweek (e.g., Tue – Sat, Wed – Sun). While we observe a five-day workweek, weekends are not necessarily restricted to Saturday and Sunday. Your weekly day off may fall on any day of the week (Mon/Tue, Thu/Fri).
AMER hours are based on Eastern Standard Time (5.30 PM/6.30 PM IST) or Pacific Standard Time (8:30 PM/9:30 PM IST), depending on Daylight Savings Time.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Aid third-party developers in troubleshooting their integration with Salesforce.com APIs, Apex, Visualforce, and the implementation of other Salesforce.com developer products. This entails debugging, troubleshooting, and taking ownership to ensure the complete resolution of the issue.
- Create sample code, client libraries, and contribute to open-source projects.
- Develop knowledge base materials dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency while also empowering and enabling the developer community.
- Resolve customer service issues adeptly and handle complex customer service problems.
- Manage customer expectations and experiences to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Cultivate and maintain technical expertise in assigned areas of product functionality, effectively using this expertise to assist customers.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of product and technical training.
- Review support cases for technical accuracy and troubleshooting.
- Define and elucidate technical best practices.
- Identify opportunities for product and service upselling and articulate Salesforce solutions to customers persuasively and accurately.
- Fulfill assigned project responsibilities.
- Meet monthly KPI goals, including CSAT and productivity.
Experience/Skills Required:
A degree or equivalent relevant experience is required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role, such as extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, and more.
- Proficiency in Lightning Experience, including Lightning Web Components & Aura.
- Competency in modern JavaScript.
- Expertise in Apex, both synchronous and asynchronous.
- Familiarity with integration using REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs.
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting errors.
- Knowledge of Visualforce.
- Understanding of Sites, Communities, and Force.com.
- Familiarity with SOQL and SOSL.
- Experience with deployment processes using Metadata API, ANT Migration tool, and CLI.
- Proficiency in Flows and Process Builder.
- Familiarity with authentication, SSO, and Auth Provider.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, including Platform Events, Streaming API, and Change Data Capture.
- Familiarity with Field Service Lightning (FSL).
- Mobile development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Solid grasp of internet technologies, including firewalls, web servers, and web proxy servers.
- Understanding of database concepts and data management, including RDBMS and SQL.
Experience/Skills Desired:
- Prior experience with Salesforce.com CRM and its technologies.
- Previous involvement as a committer in an open-source project is a valuable asset.
- Salesforce.com certifications, including Certified Administrator (ADM201), Certified Advanced Administrator (ADM211), and Certified Developer (DEV401), are advantageous.
