Job Role
- This job role entails using your creativity to solve complex hardware and software issues that end users face with their computers.
- You will gain valuable insight into troubleshooting problems with network connectivity, hardware, audio-visual equipment, telephony equipment, and applications experienced by our end user community.
- You will also learn how to quickly adapt to the fast-paced environment while addressing end-user challenges.
- The position offers real-world experience in configuring, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware in an enterprise environment.
- Additionally, you will obtain a general understanding of the Active Directory environment and learn how to follow processes and procedures to ensure that the highest quality of work is delivered to the end-user with minimal disruptions.
- As part of the job, you will gain experience with maintaining password security, data integrity, and file system security for the laptop/desktop environment using BitLocker.
- Moreover, documenting trouble tickets from inception through closure in an Enterprise Incident Management System such as ServiceNow is also part of the job.
- Finally, the job provides an opportunity to gain experience with Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management regarding the status of cases, issues, or suggestions.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing innovative solutions to solve complex technical support problems.
- General understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Ability to use critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of Office 365 online applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote) and Windows 10 OS.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to take corrective actions to resolve issues in advance of system problems.
- In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate should have:
- Pursued a Diploma/Bachelor’s or technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related degree program.
- General knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Office 365 online applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote) and Windows 10 OS.
- Hands-on experience in Information Technology solutions and services.
